Date: Sometime mid-October
Status: Private - Shadow, Bast
Setting: A shopping centre about a 45 minute drive away from the manor.
Summary: Bast and Shadow go shopping.
The shopping center was crowded, but not terribly so, and it was kinda ofof nice to watch ordinary people and families go about the ordinary business of buying clothing and kitchen appliances and children's toys. Shadow had always appreciated normal, every day life, even though he'd pretty much accepted that it wasn't for him.
Not far from the entrance there was a woman's clothing store that looked promising- not a teenagers store but a classy-looking place that would probably have a good selection of stylish adult clothing; blouses and skirts and nicer jeans.
"You want to try that place first?" he suggested, pointing.

It really wasn't meant as any mind of insult.

She lifted a pair of fashionable faded jeans from the rack, looked at the size tag, and held them against her waist. "What d'you reckon? Size 10?"

All he really has to go on was Laura's pant size, which had been around a six or seven (although one of her biggest complaints about shopping had always been that sizes differed from brand name to brand name. "They look like they might be a little big. But we could take a couple of pairs and you could try them and see. I wonder if U.K. sizes are different than American sizes."
He was pretty sure a 10 in the states was bigger than the pair she was holding.
