Date: April 20, 2006
Setting: First St. James' Park, Then Elsewhere
Status: Private (Mictain and Raphael -- complete)
Summary: Mictain and Raphael meet again.
Rating:
Mictain ran a clawed hand through his red-streaked hair for the umpteenth time. There was nothing self-confident in the gesture now, no matter how he had perfected it to give off the feeling of perfect self-confidence and power. Now it was just his old shelf showing through -- a sign of nervousness.
The very same sign that had got him into this whole mess to begin with.
Well, this time it wouldn't be a mess. He could do this, really, he could. He would meet Raphael, and he would make Raphael believe that he would never hurt him again, and, eventually, he would have Raphael back.
That was how it would go. Really, it was. There was no need to be nervous.
Still his whole being was thrumming with nervousness as he neared St. James' park. The part that loved Raphael was inwardly weeping at what he'd done to the beautiful being, while the part that simply lusted after the healer was determined not to repeat its mistake. Obviously having the healer by force wouldn't work, so he would try a different approach. Even his most demonic instincts were ready to obey the loving part's will if it meant the possibility of having Raphael.
Mictain was perhaps not terribly bright, but, unlike Uriel, he could concentrate. Wehn he got his mind set on something, he went on until he got what he wanted, regardless of any outside interference. And what he wanted now, what he had wanted for over two millennia now, was Raphael.
To get Raphael, he would do anything.
Black wings shining in the sun, he landed close to the duck pond.
