(no subject)

Date: April 22nd, 2000 (Good Friday)
Setting: The Red Lion Pub
Status: Uriel and Pestilence
Summary: The Presence is Low, As is a Horseperson- The remedy?  Smex.

Pestilence was so drunk he didn't even notice that the bartender had passed out with acute appendicidis, neglecting to refill his glass.  The horseman was three drinks away from dead, and that was just fine with him.  He never could understand why today was called "Good" Friday.  In his opinion it sucked royally and the only way to comfort onself was by drowning in a bottle of Holy spirits.

Leaving the manor hadn't helped erase memories of Uriel.  In his heart he knew that it wouldn't even before he left, but he had tried his best to keep himself busy.  He was busy developing SARS, making AIDS more resiliant, honing a new flu.  All of the things that had always given him the most amount of pleasure.  It didn't hold a candle to the pleasure he had had with Uriel though.  Not just the sex, the just being around the angel, looking at his art, watching him fly.

Ever since the break up, h had been thinking about his letter.  To be honest, he hadn't really thought of Mary Mallon since she died.  Yeah, he had courted her, she was nice enough to be with, but again, if he were to be honest, he had only ever really used her.  At the time he had wanted typhoid to get some publicity (he was male, he needed his ego stroked now and again), and she had presented herself at the perfect time and place.  Plus she was fiery enough to stir up all the publicity he desired.  Typhoid Mary, as she came to be called, though, had never held him enthralled as Uriel did.  They had enjoyed good times, but they had both known it was only a fling.  With Uriel it had felt so much different, as though eternity was theirs.

So much for his high hopes.

He drank another bottle of rubbing alcohol.

The way Pestilence pressed his back against her definitely told about his excitement. Equally excited and delighted to be so close to her beloved once again, Uriel clung to him as tightly as he could, wanting to feel his closeness as completely as she could.

Although she was aware of his excitement, and had got quite some evidence of his impulsive nature in the past, she was still surprised as he picked her up before she could even try to get off the motorbike by herself, carrying her up the stairs.

She allowed him to carry her to his apartment, enjoying the way it felt so secure and right to be held in his arms, but once inside his apartment, she decided to slow him down a bit.

Just a bit, though. She wanted him just as much as he wanted her.

"Now, slow down a bit, handsome," she said, placing a soft kiss on the corner of his mouth. "There's no need to rush; we have time. Haven't you ever heard of 'enjoying the moment?'"

Despite her words, the way she pressed herself against him told a rather different message.

Uriel allowed herself to be led to the chouch, taking the glass of wine from Pestilence. She tasted it carefully, examining the new, unfamiliar taste. It wasn't too unpleasant.

He was kneeling at her feet, looking intently at her, and she couldn't help but feel self-conscious. Although she had altered her features slightly to resemble Mary Mallon more, in the end this was the closest to her real appearance she had been ever since their break-up. She could only hope she was desirable enough for him.

Oh, but she wanted this. Even if it was only one night, one night she might very well regret later, she was weak and cold and lonely and needed him to make her whole again.

"Mm-hmm," was the only response she gave to the horseman's comment, shivering slightly at the sensations of his hot breath and gentle tongue against her ear. "I always use it." Well, so she did not, but it was her natural scent, especially strong whenever she got excited, so it wasn't really a lie.

Holding the still mostly full glass of wine in one hand, she brought her other hand up to tangle it into his hair, savouring the softness of it. She had almost forgotten how very lovely it was.

Uriel's breath caught in her chest as she heard Pestilence's words. Pestilence loved her natural scent? Then wouldn't that mean...

No. No point in getting up her hopes. Pestilence could never love her for what she really was; she should be happy with this little moment.

"Thank you," she then said, smiling as he started rubbing her feet. "I can't say I'm upset you spotted me before anybody else, either." She tangled her fingers further into the familiar white hair. She could almost imagine it was always like this, would always be like this, she would have Pestilence forever and ever and they would never part...

But it wasn't. It was only tonight, only this once, only because she was so very lonely and weak and simply couldn't bear her loneliness any longer. Once Easter came around, she would be better. This was only meant to help her survive until then.

But it hurt so much...

Uriel slowly spread her legs to give Pestilence more access to her thighs. His touch was light but firm, and it sent tiny waves of pleasure through her. His mouth left tiny kisses all over her neck while his hands wandered further on her body, until his lips suddenly were placed over her own. However, even the sudden contact of their mouths couldn't distract her from what was happening in the lower parts of her body as his finger suddenly slid into previously unexplored territory. She jumped a bit, startled, and he retreated a bit, although his touch was still definitely distracting.

"No... it's okay," she managed to say, once again tangling her fingers into his hair. The familiar feeling soothed her a bit. "I want this. I really, really want this.

"It's just..." She bit her lip, hesitant. However, she had to say it. He'd notice sooner or alter anyway. "Remember what you said about 'pure and virginal'? Well... it was true. Partly, at least. I've never gone all the way before."
